In a free marketplace, agents who sell insurance would be able to reduce the cost of premiums to their Quotes Chimp by voluntarily reducing their commissions, if the agents believe doing so is necessary to get the sale. Unfortunately, insurance industry in�terests oppose this freedom, and as a result many states have laws prohibiting such "rebates" to the consumer. In these states, efficient agents cannot lower commissions to compete better for a higher market share. Such laws are purely and simply anti-consumer, and they should be repealed.
